In Ayurvedic medicine found arsenic and lead

More than 20 percent of traditional Indian medicine will be sold in the U.S. over the Internet contain elevated levels of lead, mercury and arsenic. These are the results of research carried out by the staff at the Boston University School of Medicine. For the study, researchers selected 193 samples of Ayurvedic potions bought online. Elevated levels of mercury, lead and arsenic were found in 20.7 percent of samples. Examine means are made both in India and in the United States. In some Indian samples maximum permissible levels of harmful compounds were exceeded by 100 to 10,000 times. The findings, as the authors point out the study, said the need for additional measures to ensure the quality and safety control of the funds in the U.S. Indian medicines sold.
