Short intervals between periods may be an early sign of an early menopause, according to scientists. The study included 804 American women followed for 3 years for the scientists. The presence of the participating scientists of ovulation was determined regularly passed through the analysis of urine, the women. At the end of the observation period, the women were divided into groups. The first group included women with unplanned menstruation for the last 3 months. The other group consists of participants with one or more cycles dropped. Scientists conducted a study and found that women aged 42 to 52 years who are in early menopause, the intervals between cycles are usually shorter and less than 21 days. Such cycles indicate that the presence of non-self menstruation ovulation. An extension of these intervals over 36 days, according to Bradley J. Van Voorhis of the American Medical College of Iowa, are inherent to the later time of menopause. Heavy bleeding usually occur independently of the ovulatory cycle of women in this age group. According to scientists, shorter periods between periods typical of women in early menopause, 44% of cycles were anovulatory in this group of patients. For late menopause were peculiarly extended periods between cycles. This is due to hormonal changes in the female body.
