Obesity and depression interdependent middle-aged women

A new U.S. study found that middle-aged women between obesity and depression, there is a relationship. The researchers collected information from 4641 women size, weight, diet and physical activity. The results showed that women with depression twice as often overweight (body mass index over 30) and women who are overweight, suffer twice as likely to be depressed state. The relationship between obesity and depression remained strong even after taken into account the factor marital status, education, smoking, and use of antidepressants. Depression and obesity are closely linked and feed off each other, says the head of research of Dr. Gregory Simon (Simon Gregory). According to Gregory Simon, if people better - it leads to depression, and depressed it harder to do something to lose weight. The label on the completeness of the human suffering, lowers self-esteem and in turn want to lose weight. Scientists advise women who suffer from obesity, to improve self-esteem, which will help them to lose weight later.
