Green tea in the confrontation with prostate cancer

According to the study conducted by Japanese specialists green tea every day can reduce the risk of prostate cancer. The study involved almost 50,000 Japanese men aged 40-69 years. It was found that those five or more cups of green tea per day drank the risk of progression of prostate cancer is reduced by half compared with those who drank one cup or less. The study was conducted between 1990 - 2004 years, and was the first in which they reported that green tea has been the risk of prostate cancer, the researchers reported in Tokyo, National Cancer Center (National Cancer Center in Tokyo). Scientists argue that catechin - a substance that is abundant in green tea can slow the growth of cancer cells and helps to lower testosterone levels, thus preventing the occurrence of cancer and its progression.
