The risk of breast cancer even after hormone therapy

The risk of breast cancer in women who are still hormonal treatment stopped after taking hormones, U.S. researchers said. The results of the study in 2002 showed that the increased risk of breast cancer by 24% in women who take estrogen and progestin hormones complex. Progestin is used to reduce the risk of breast cancer, which, when the estrogen occurs. Also the first study showed that women's hormones, increases the risk for stroke and heart attack. But the major conclusions of previous studies that have 27,347 postmenopausal women aged 50-79 years participated, is that long-term use of hormonal treatment on the positive effects of his behavior outweighs the risk of cancer. Subsequent analysis showed that the risk is about the same associated with the development of breast cancer in combination, even after the women stop hormones complex. However, the risk of heart attack or stroke reduced by taking the drug at the level of women who did not take hormones. According to the scientists navel in women with hormone therapy of estrogen and progestin are at increased risk for breast cancer, even years after treatment.
