HIV treatment is ineffective, if at the same time to be treated for tuberculosis

Patients being treated for tuberculosis, can not say all the benefits of HIV treatment, scientists. In developing countries, HIV is mainly cheap drug "nevirapine", whose effectiveness is less clear when the people were at the same time being treated for tuberculosis used. Researchers suggest that about 40% of people with HIV and Africans were treated for tuberculosis. Many clinics in poor countries in patients with HIV infection and treatment for tuberculosis, as it often occurs in HIV disease. "NVP" is often used in the treatment of HIV infection, as this drug is the cheapest cost. Scientists have the study, which was attended by 4,000 patients with HIV infection. The participants were antiretroviral therapy between 2001 and 2006. They found that patients who had been treated for TB in this period, the effectiveness of HIV treatment was two times lower than that of the other participants. Treatment cheap drug "nevirapine" was effective in the event that it had before the start of TB treatment. Experts believe that the problem is very relevant, as in developing countries, mainly cheaper drugs and combine the treatment of HIV and tuberculosis. The use of expensive HIV medications have not shown a low efficiency in the treatment of joint and tuberculosis in poor countries, but few people can afford such treatment. The problem deserves attention and the need for other medications or treatments, scientists stressed.
