They found that those who ate tomato paste 33% prokolagena more to protect against sunburn and had supplemented the elasticity of the skin. Scientists admit that the main component of tomatoes, the improved protection of the skin, is an antioxidant lycopene. Its concentration increases during thermal processing of tomatoes. Tomato diet significantly increased content prokolagena. According to dermatologists Leslie Rhodes, this indicates the possibility of suspending obrateniya and reversing the aging process of the skin. Although the protection of lycopene, created a weak, the study shows that a diet high in antioxidant-rich tomatoes could provide an additional means of protection from the sun, according to Dr. Lap Holden of the British Association of Dermatologists.
