Slowly, slowly help breathing and relaxing music for a half hour each day, can cope with the problem of high blood pressure, researchers say. Italian scientists conducted a study, which was attended by 28 people. Participants were to medicines, assigned to a slight increase in blood pressure (mild hypertension) to control. All patients were measured by special devices blood pressure for 24 hours. Then distributed to all wheels with classical, Celtic or Indian music. The discs had music in a measured and calm pace, according to Professor Pietro Modesty (Pietro A. Modesti), doctor of medicine and philosophy of the Italian University of Florence. Patients listened to music for 30 minutes every day, try to time to breathe slowly and exhale twice as long as inhalation. After 1 month, the participants again a 24-hour blood pressure monitoring. It turned out that this month blood pressure significantly improved. The control group included 20 other patients who did not hear the music and not to practice slow breathing. Blood pressure did not change in these patients. According to experts, the reason why this happens is still not exactly clear. It also remains unclear what effect stabilize more pressure: soothing music, or respiratory system. Modesty professor believes that the antihypertensive effect of the combination of these two treatment groups does factors. The study was presented at the annual meeting of the American Society of Hypertension (American Society of Hypertension), New Orleans (USA). The scientists hope to explore further the effect duration.
