The situation with the presence of viral hepatitis in the Ukraine today is catastrophic. With this statement, the representative of the public initiative care of patients with viral hepatitis in Ukraine appealed to the President, the Prime Minister of Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Health and the Ministry of Health Hepatitis C threatens the health of the population can freely propagate. If no action is taken, and not to identify the disease, it is often this form is chronic and silent kills a person. WHO experts believe that in the next 20 years, hepatitis C is a major problem in the field of global health. Meanwhile, in the Ukraine, little has been done to inform the public, diagnosis and treatment of those infected. According to unofficial sources in Ukraine from 3 to 5 percent of people with chronic hepatitis C, but the Ministry of Health does not even keep statistics on chronic cases of the disease, not to measures mentioned to stop the epidemic, according to representatives of the initiative. They require officers to begin to deal with the spread of hepatitis and in particular the following: - begin to inform a record of all cases of hepatitis in the Ukraine and the public about the status of the situation with acute and chronic cases of the disease in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, - development and adoption of binding protocols for the treatment of all forms of viral hepatitis - to create a body of the Ministry of Health to coordinate the fight against the disease, with the participation of the public - to develop with the participation of the public and to adopt a national program for information, prevention and access to diagnosis and treatment of viral hepatitis in the Ukraine. According to the president of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, many doctors are aware of the danger of the situation. He also believes that the lead today in the world, cardiovascular diseases and hepatitis C virus, as 30% of the world's population are infected with it, and that a third of people in the world.
