American scientists were able to cure mice with diabetes, with a mixture of several drugs, reports the BBC. In mice with type 1 diabetes have to begin to produce their own insulin after they entered the injection of 4 drugs. Previously, the same group of researchers from Harvard University could just produce only the destruction of the cells, the insulin can not recover. But the researchers say that adding another drug to the original mix of drugs, recovery was possible. Scientists hope to begin human trials. To date, the only way to deal with diabetes - is the need for regular insulin injections. The doctors have focused on the possibility of transplantation of pancreatic beta cells from a donor, which produce insulin. However, this method is much because of the need to establish a donor and problems with rejection are complicated. Therefore, the restoration of their own cells is the most convenient and efficient way. According to Dr Iain Frame, more research is needed, while experiments were only carried out on mice.
